Design
The designed force platform has a rectangular shape and features supports located at its corners, where uniaxial load cells are also installed, as shown in the following figure.

The platform includes four mounts for vertical load cells and eight mounts for horizontal load cells. Tests have been conducted using both 12 load cells in total, and a reduced configuration with 8 (4 vertical and 4 horizontal—2 per horizontal axis, placed in opposing directions).
The latter setup offers increased stability for the platform's top surface.
